cycling trips with Yelo
The road less travelled... is travelled for a reason. Join us on one of our YELO cycling adventures. We seek out remote landscapes, beautiful roads, and the most iconic challenges to take on. We have a support vehicle to carry our gear and for the option of different riding distances for different people. Often you will meet the other riders during the winter and spring Wattbike training in our classes, so the camaraderie begins the moment you sign up. Here is the schedule for our upcoming trips.
A 6 day cycling tour of the Scottish coast north of inverness. Following the new NC500 route.
Our favourite part of the LEJOG trip was Scotland so we had to arrange a special tour to ride this spectacular route. We have already tested Day 1 from Inverness to Shieldaig over the Applecross Pass (Bealach na Ba) and it is an utterly incredible ride. We are not treating this like a LEJOG where people feel compelled to ride every mile of the 500. The terrain is challenging so we have split the days up into smaller stages for riders to pick and choose their distances. The support vehicle will welcome passengers so that all riders enjoy every mile of the trip

4 days cycling in the Italian Alps. With the flexibility to choose your own distance option each day. One big climb will be plenty for most riders, although a second option is there for the true mountain goats.
The Stelvio is iconic from the Giro d'Italia and its famous northern ascent has 48-hairpins snaking up the side of a mountain pass. The other climbs are equally as beautiful. The Passo di Gavia, Passo di Foscagno, the climb up to Torri di Fraele to Lake Cancano. We have also included a flatter section along the Sentiero Valtellina cycle path for riders who might want a day off from the uphills.
As always the support vehicle will be there to facilitate the different distance options and carry gear for weather changes.

A 10 day / 11 nights 900 mile cycling tour. Fully supported with a van to carry your gear from hotel to hotel each day.
We had such a response from our successful 2019 LEJOG that we have put another one on this year. This is the ultimate bucket list cycling trip and 10 days with 90 miles a day is a fair but challenging schedule. We have tweaked the route slightly to avoid busier A-roads and for easier navigation. This is such a wonderful way to see our country from two-wheels. Yes, its a tough challenge, but once you hit Scotland the breathtaking scenery will inspire your tired legs. Its an emotional trip too as you ride through memory lanes and think of friends and family wishing you well.
The group bonds strongly over the cycling days and this will be the most special feature of the trip. A journey should be measured not in miles travelled, but in friends made.
